Love it!

This is awesome - super easy to use, love the progress charts, and how it customizes the routines to your current skill level. Im working on my second tri - wish I had this for the first! Wouldve done a lot better :)

Great starter!

I just finished an Olympic distance triathlon (had to extrapolate a bit) and improved my time by six minutes. I look forward to future editions tailored to the Olympic, Half-Ironman, and Ironman distances.

Excellent app, does just what it says!

This is a great application. Very simple, clean interface with well-explained workouts. It really does exactly what is says and is great for beginner to intermediate triathletes. Some new features (not sure if these are allowed by apple) would be a link to the nike plus workouts for the runs, the ability to buy other workouts from the app (longer distances, more advanced training) and finally a desktop version to sync to and keep track of things.

Update needed - GREAT APP

I enjoy this app because it helps me to see what I need to do next in my training. I also like that is has tips and helpful explanations in addition to the pro articles. I recommend this app but this it also need some update. I think it would be HUGELY helpful if you could move the workouts around to certain days. Like maybe a click and drag option or maybe in your profile letting you say what days you swim, bike and run, and then it can customize it to each persons schedule. I do not believe at this point that its worth $9.99 because its not versatile enough but it has HUGE potential to be GREAT!

Got my lazy butt to finally track myself

Worth the money because: 1) could see what I had to do each day. Workouts laid out nicely with explanations. Easy to use at gym. 2) could manage between days if work schedule forced an adjustment. 3) easier than using an online log for this lazy triathlete. Suggestions:Definitely need freedom to move a workout within a week. Ability to put comment on a day. Ability to export. MUST GIVE US MORE PLANS. I need this for my next race prep. Id pay $3 for a half Ironman plan.

glad i found this app!

This app has been quite helpful in preparing for my first sprint triathlon. It is super easy to follow and gives great tips. It would be even better if the user could change the workouts within a week...say, exchange bike for a run. I am sure it is set up for a reason so not a big deal there. It would also be nice to add workout notes about your performance on a particular day. Overall, an awesome app for the price! I should also mention I had a question and emailed the developer...she was fast and answered my question personally :)

Great for a newbie!

This app has been really great helping me train for my first triathlon. I feel I will be more than ready for my first tri at the end of June. I too have had issues with swapping the swim workout on days when I can get to the pool, but it hasnt been a huge issue. I usually just do the bike and enter it, then go back and put my pool workout in. I did tell the developer about it and they are working to add it as a modification in the future. Developer is very responsive to suggestions and just released an app for Olympic distances called Triathlon Trainer. Cant wait to check it out!

Success

I recently lost a 140 pounds and ran my first marathon. So I decided a triathlon was the next logical step. So I bought every book and most every app. However this is the one I used as my guide and I finished my first sprint Triathlon in 1:10 and stopped to fix someone elses flat tire. I would recommend this application to any first time triathlete. Now for a suggestion it would be nice to be able to select the distance you are competing at and have the works auto adjust. This would allow the app to grow with the athlete. Also allow you two enter your times and graph your progress. This could activated after you finished your firsts sprint so first timers dont get hung up on times. Else this app rocks!!

Great app with one exception

This app has been very helpful in training for my first triathlon. The only change needed is the same that others have said... PLEASE add ability to change workout days. I want to swim tues and fri, not wed and sat. Its confusing trying to keep track of my schedule vs what schedule the app shows.

Workout days

This app is helpful in regards to the workout times but I would like to choose what days I would like to work on different aspects of the tri. PLEASE FIX!!!

Great Deal!

Just did my first sprint tri and finished 31 in my age group. Fantastic we need a new version that can select distances. I would pay for an update this app is so good...

Great App.

Did my first sprint triathlon this past weekend. Finished in 1:34:55. I found this app very helpful in the first few weeks. Sometimes I did more than was required and some days not as much. Im hooked and have another sprint triathlon in 2 weeks.

Awesome!

I loved this app! It was easy to use, simple & straightforward- just what i needed. I felt very well prepared during my first sprint tri. I not only finished but finished in the top 20%- bonus! I would highly recommend this to anyone needing a training guide!

Great tool!

Just completed my first Sprint distance tri and I followed this training plan all the way. I had great results and the tri-bug totally bit me; I cant wait to do the next one! One of my favorite features of this app was being able to change fitness levels any time I wanted so I could move up to intermediate levels when I started feeling comfortable. Also, being able to change your off day any time you have an scheduling conflict is awesome. Highly recommend this app!! Sincerely, N.Ortega

Great Motivator

Having been an athlete in high school, Id lost that part of my life until I decided to do the Iron Girl Tri last summer. I had a year to train and I found that having a plan in front of me everyday gave me a good base to work from. It worked too! I completed Iron Girl in August and will be taking on a couple Olympic distance events in 2011. The app could be a little more elegant in its interface, but functionally its great!

Not worth it

Save your money. Theres really not much to this app.

First Tri

I was under the impression you could pick distances each time you do a new distance its the first time. I feel it should say training for Sprint distance. I wasted 6.99 and had to buy the other. Good program just not for me.
